Airbus Defense and Space Government Solutions (ADSGS) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully tracking the Arctic Satellite Broadband Mission (ABSM) and Viasat's GX-10 High-Earth Orbit (HEO) constellation from Setermoen, Norway. This demonstration utilized ADSGS’s rugged, modular, and WGS-certified Ranger 1.2M GEO terminal, equipped with an advanced motorized tracking system. It's important to note that the entire Ranger Family of Terminals has a proven track record, having successfully tracked satellites across all orbits: GEO, MEO (O3b/mPower), and HEO. This capability was further demonstrated by the Ranger 1.2M's exceptional agility and precision during this test, allowing for seamless satellite handover and reliable communication with a Norwegian Teleport, using both the CBM-400/EBEM waveform over X-band and robust Ka-band tracking. ADSGS was the first to establish a tactical SATCOM connection during testing, reinforcing its reputation for delivering tailored solutions in complex environments. The successful tracking of ABSM-1 and -2, carrying Viasat GX-10 Ka-band and Norwegian Government X-band payloads, underscores ADSGS’s technological leadership in satellite tracking and communications. The system's ability to automatically adjust its position ensured optimal link connectivity with the fast-moving HEO satellites.
