A Legacy of Leadership: Founder Chris Morris Announces Decision to Retire; Brandon Stadler Named CEO

Airbus DS Government Solutions (ADSGS) today announced a significant leadership transition. After a distinguished career spanning over 45 years in the satellite communications industry, Chris Morris has announced his plans to retire as President & CEO at the end of January 2026. Brandon Stadler, the company’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as his successor. Celebrating a Legacy of Resilience and InnovationChris Morris’s retirement marks the conclusion of an era defined by steady leadership. His journey in the industry began in 1980 as an installation technician, where he worked his way up the "satcom food chain" through hands-on technical and sales roles. In 2003, Chris took the helm of what is now Airbus DS Government Solutions (formerly ND SatCom, Inc.). For over 22 years, Chris has guided the company through a complex landscape of parent acquisitions, organizational changes, and market reshuffles. Under his leadership, the company developed and launched the flagship Ranger terminal, a product that established ADSGS as a leader in the market. Through it all, he ensured the company remained a stable, growing, and profitable business.
"Chris established the standard of technical excellence that defines our company today," said Brandon Stadler. "I am grateful for his leadership and look forward to building on the strong foundation he has created."
A New Chapter: Brandon Stadler to Take the HelmStepping into the role of CEO is Brandon Stadler, a leader well-known to the ADSGS family and the wider industry. Brandon brings a wealth of technical and operational experience, having been with the company for over 18 years. Brandon’s background mirrors the company’s commitment to technical excellence. He holds an educational background in Satellite Communications and possesses early career experience as a Systems Engineer and Field Technician. Since joining the company in 2007, he has progressed through multiple technical and sales positions, serving as Pre-Sales Manager, VP of Commercial Operations, and finally as COO in 2020. Brandon has helped guide the company’s recent growth. As COO, he provided leadership and support to the teams responsible for the successful launch of the RCT (Rapid Capability Terminal) and the expansion of the Ranger product line—solutions that have become cornerstones of the ADSGS portfolio. Ensuring a Smooth TransitionTo ensure a seamless handover, Chris Morris will remain involved with the company as a Director on the ADSGS Board of Directors.
